CAPTAIN
RIAAN WOEST - South African.
Riaan grew up in the surfing mecca of Jeffries Bay. Coming from a commercial background he has been a Captain for 17 years with 10 years on Super Yachts. Riaan believes in safety first for guests and crew while on Lady In Blue. Riaan takes part in fishing, diving, surfing, skiing, rugby and enjoys all other sports.
FIRST OFFICER
KERRY FLANNAGAN - Scottish.
Born in Scotland, raised in South Africa close to Cape Town. I started sailing as a child and have done many jobs on the water from dive guide to sailing instructor and started working on yachts ten years ago. I enjoy most water sports, particularly sailing, diving and kite surfing and snowboarding in the winter.
CHIEF ENGINEER
ANTHONY HENDRICKS - Australian.
Hammy hails from the East coast of Australia where he spent 20 years in the Navy predominately on Submarines. He loves all water sports and motocross.
PURSER
MIKE CANTIN - New Zealander.
Mike has 17 years experience in Management and Service within Aviation & the Yachting Industry. Mike will be only too happy to meet all your concierge requirements. He enjoys travel, new cultures & countries, rugby, league, cricket, diving, fishing, running, golf, food, wine, films.
2ND ENGINEER
MATT YOUNG - Australian.
Matt comes from Perth and has been in the yachting industry for 2 years. Matt enjoys baking, chess and backgammon.
CHIEF STEWARDESS
RACHEL EWING - New Zealander.
Rachel grew up in Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand. She has a Diploma in interior design. Rachel prides herself on providing guests with an excellent level of service and likes to create a warm environment to experience a memorable holiday. Rachel’s interests include fashion, travel, water skiing, reading, architecture & design.
HEAD CHEF
DOMINIQUE DAGORNE - French.
Dom is an experienced French Chef with over 15 years in the catering & hospitality industry including 6 years in yachting. He is an amazing Chef who will be able to satisfy all your dining requirements. He can adapt to all culinary needs and will go to great lengths to make fresh, healthy and excellent tasting cuisine. Dom has traveled to the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Australia & New Zealand. Dom is a keen cyclist who rides over 250km per week. He also enjoys swimming, rugby, tennis and all motor sports. Dom is eager to share his vast knowledge of food & wine along with all his cultural experiences.
CREW CHEF
JIMMY LARSSON - Swedish.
Jimmy was born in Sweden, he spent 3 years at the Riskapplet Restaurant and Catering School. He decided to give Yachts a try and is glad he did. He has a passion for food and strives to create memorable cuisine for guests and crew. Jimmy played soccer semi professionally and loves fishing, movies, and working out.
BOSUN
MARK EVANS - English.
Mark, originally from England, prefers to be known as a professional chamois technician as he takes his job on Lady In Blue very seriously. Mark Captained and maintained the 12 metre America’s Cup racing vessel Stars & Stripes. He also organized youth adventure holidays. Mark’s hobbies include water sports, traveling & reading.
2ND STEWARDESS
LAURE BENEDIC - French.
Laure grew up in Alsace and moved down to the Cote d’Azur where she worked in a 5 star hotel. She also worked on special events such as the Cannes Film Festival and various fashion shows. Laure joined the Yachting industry in 2005 and enjoys the close contact with guests from all over the world. She has a passion for traveling and enjoys shopping, body combat, tennis, dancing, skiing, French cuisine and international wines.
DECKHAND
ERIC NIEDERMEIER - Brazilian.
Erik’s love of boating was instilled during his childhood when he lived on his parent’s sailboat. He became a sailing instructor at 15. He sailed his own vessel from Brazil to St Maarten. Erik is also a computer whiz studying computer engineering. In his downtime he likes to play his own guitar and take part in all water sports.
DECKHAND
TREVOR SAKER - South African.
Trevor is from St Francis Bay, South Africa which is a small surfing community. He grew up on the water and is very keen to make a career out of yachting. He is an avid surfer and enjoys all water sports. Trevor has an outgoing personality and would love to instruct you on any of our water sports.
STEWARDESS
MARCELLO COELHO - Brazilian.
Marcella was raised in Rio de Janerio where she studied Physical Therapy. She is now pursuing a career in Yachting where she hopes to progress on the interior. Marcella enjoys all the organizational aspects of her job loves making the guests surroundings warm and comfortable. In her spare time Marcella enjoys jogging, yoga, fine dining, movies and travel.
STEWARDESS
HAYLEY - Australian.
Hayley grew up about 1 hour outside of Sydney in the town of Goulburn. She is a qualified hairdresser but decided to start a career on Super Yachts. Hayley enjoys the variety her job provides and is keen to progress. Hayley’s interests include fashion, shopping, travel, aerobics, dancing, food and wine.
