Roy Simpson (Captain):
Roy has had over 2000 days at sea, covering many cruising grounds including both coasts of USA, Russia, New Zealand, Caribbean, French Polynesia, Hawaii, Galapagos and Japan to name a few. He has been in the yachting industry for over 35 years.
Shelly Pollard (Chef):
Shelly has been in the yachting and travel industries for a combined 14 years, and has been in the food industry for 18 years. She has owned and operated successful gourmet food businesses, and her specialties include food and wine pairing, California cuisine, French pastries, chocolate and vegetarian cuisine.
Nicholas Orr (Engineer):
Nicholas has been in the Motor Trade/Marine Industry since 1987, including being an automotive tutor (teaching first and second year students to level 4). He is an avid salt-water fly fisherman, has a strong passion for fresh water fly-fishing and deep sea fishing and loves sailing and classic motor cycles.
Will Parker (Mate):
Will has been to New England, Florida, Caribbean and Bahamas in his travels onboard yachts. He enjoys fishing, free diving, spear fishing, and anything do to with the water.
Jeff Skinner (Deck hand):
Jeff hails from Oregon, coming from a large family of 7 siblings. His hobbies include basketball, football, golf and baseball, all of which he played – and was captain of – in high school.
Julie Burton (Chief Stew):
Julie has experience from a variety of yachts, and has been in the industry since 2004. She is fluent in Japanese and was even a Japanese translator for CBS television at the Nagano Winter Olympics. She also has hospitality experience from working at 5 star International Resorts and Hotels.
Jennifer Cummins (2nd Stew):
Jennifer has been in the yachting industry for nearly three years and has a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Neuropsychology. She enjoys surfing, dancing, cycling and running.
Twila Contreras (3rd Stew):
Twila is from Twisp, Washington, and joined the industry in 2008 after a ski season working in Methven, New Zealand. Twila enjoys playing soccer, snow boarding, and snow mobiling. | |
