CAPTAIN: Gaetano Cafaro, Italian
Gaetano born in Rome, Italy 36 years ago. After his Degree in Scientific High School he started going by sea on a family boat. He use to share his time between University courses in “Letters & Philosophy” and his passion of going by sea. He holds the Italian license of Ship Master for Yachts over 24m, up-grading his titles with further courses required by the new nautical Italian regulation. Gaetano sailed all over the world during 3 years: crossing the Atlantic to Caribbean then to Australia on a world round trip. He enjoyed the emotion of racing (Round the World Rally). His professional background includes works on his own private yacht then to several charter yachts.
He did the transfer of Farandwide from Cape_Town in summer 2007, then crossed the Atlantic with her, he knows almost all particulars having followed the shipyard works yearly checking and up-grading. He loves people, very attentive to
guests needs wanting his guests to be happy.
He speaks Italian, English, Spanish and French.

DECK HAND : Francesco Palusci, Italian
Francesco born in 1978 in Italy. Nice and well cultivated person, he holds his Degree in Law. He started his nautical experience in 2004 sailing one Lagoon 410 as sailor /cook, in 2005 the great experience of crossing the Atlantic as mate, he never stopped sailing since then alternatively as sailor/cook and skipper of medium size sailing boats. He loves to play the guitar, to fish, cook and snorkelling. Onboard of Farandwide since 2009. Languages: Italian and English.
STEWARDESS: Lana Fruhwirth,Croatian
Nice, reserved and competent. Born in 1982, education STCW-University of Economics. Since 2005 she experienced international works as Ground Stewardess in Zadar airport, 2006 waitress in San Diego CA and in Long Island, NY. Since 2008 stewardess onboard of various yachts from 27m to 34m, in September 2009 onboard of Farandwide. Silver service, Sommelier, experienced in manoeuvring.
