Andrea Chericoni - Captain
Italian, Born 1956. Prior to joining Ana Nefeli, Andrea captained the 100ft S/Y Rubin Lady. His expertise as captain covers 15 years aboard various vessels including the 103 ft Beconcini S/Y Surama, 65ft Swan S/Y Sea Side Swan, and 62ft Dynamic S/Y My Wave. He has sailed the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Red Sea extensively.
Capt. Andrea was an antiques dealer before joining the yachting industry. Other interests include fishing and cooking. As a father himself, he is delighted to have children on board. Capt. Andrea speaks Italian and English and it is his priority to provide a comfortable stay for his guests.
Maja Martinovic – Hostess
Argentinian, Born 1974. Maja was born in Croatia and grew up in Argentina. She spent 5 years in Italy where she acquired knowledge of international cuisine.
She has 3 years of experience in the yachting industry, having crossed the Atlantic three times serving as stewardess/chef aboard the M/Y Daphne (27m), M/Y Amina (27m) and most recently the S/Y Rubin Lady (100ft).
Maja’s cooking is influenced by Mediterranean cuisine. She uses fine condiments to delicately enhance the flavor of foods. Vegetables are creatively combined by flavor, color and texture. Dishes are appealing both to the palate and to the eye. Other specialties are traditional American dishes or creations with an Asian touch. And when it comes to meat, Maja lives up to her Argentinian heritage!
Other interests include photography and the theatre. Maja speaks Spanish, Italian and English.
Maschio Martino – Mate
Italian, Born 1972. Maschio joined the yachting industry 3 years ago, working as mate/cook aboard the S/Y Arabian Nights (23m), mate aboard M/Y Leomar (30m) and S/Y Alegre (20m) prior to joining Ana Nefeli. He has sailed in the Mediterranean, Brasil, Uruguay and Argentina. Prior education includes naval construction, gas installation and gastronomy. Other interests are painting and restoration of wooden boats. Maschio speaks Spanish and Italian.
