David Ross - Skipper & Owner Non smoker Nationality: British
David, a sailor most of his life, qualified at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, and later attended a commercial flying course. He was mixed farming in England and Scotland until 1981 and then skippering charter boats in the Mediterranean and Red Sea. He has skied for many years for the Ski Club of Great Britain, specialising in off-piste, for many years in St. Anton. David bought and recommissioned “RHEA” in 1989/90 and has chartered her successfully since then.
Penny Lefeaux - Chef Non smoker Nationality: British
Penny was a dinghy sailor as a girl and graduated from Birmingham University with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biological Sciences. She spent 2 years in accountancy and then became a freelance farm secretary. Penny was farming with David and then chartering with him as chef/partner for 5years. She also ran a ski chalet for two seasons. She was fully involved in recommissioning and maintaining “RHEA”. Since 1997 Penny has been the chef aboard “RHEA”.
