Patrick and Elana make an enthusiastic, personable and highly professional couple that has worked together since marrying in 1998. Since leaving Canada in 2000 they have sailed thousands of miles together in the Mediterranean, New Zealand, New England and throughout the Caribbean while chartering and working on private yachts.

Patrick is an experienced, well-traveled RYA Yachtmaster Offshore with Commercial Endorsement who has been working in the Marine Industry for 10 years. Holding multiple Captain licenses as well as a limited Engineering ticket, he is also a PADI Divemaster with extensive knowledge of the maintenance of engines, generators, water makers as well as other onboard systems.

Elana is a Cordon Bleu trained chef with years of experience in customer service. Creative and enthusiastic, she takes great pride in providing guests with culinary delights while paying great attention to the fine details. As a PADI Rescue Diver, she shares Pat’s passion for exploring and enjoys providing a memorable experience for all.

Rejoined S/Y Sagaponack last April after working on mono-hulls for 18 months. Are sailing throughout the Eastern Mediterranean.

Apr. 2007 – Apr. 2008 Nauta 76ft Sloop “S/Y Zulu”
Captain - Joined the yacht in New Zealand as it was nearing completion of a refit.

Worked as a team on a private yacht sailing in New Zealand.
Oct. 2006 – Feb. 2007 Swan 82 “S/Y Zingala” Captain

Captained Swan 82 RS. Completed extensive warranty list and worked directly with the Nautor Swan yard.
Joined the boat in The Netherlands, passages included Holland to Hamburg and the North Sea to the UK.

Feb. 2005 – Oct. 2006 Privelege 585 “S/Y Sagaponack”
Captain
versaw the completion of Privelege 585 catamaran and worked with the yard to prepare the yacht for MCA Certification
Passages included Atlantic France to Palma, Trans-Atlantic crossing and Caribbean to New England, USA.
Chartered in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and North East coast of USA.
