Clive has been sailing professionally since 1981, prior to this he was in advertising and motor racing formula Ford cars in the U.K. He has circumnavigated the world, is particular to sailing yachts mostly and has an extensive knowledge of the Caribbean, Mediterranean and New England sailing areas. Clive's most recent charter command was Zingaro, 112' S&S. He holds an MCA Yacht Master 3000 gt. license and is a certified scuba diver. His hobbies include gold, staying fit, kite boarding, tennis, anything active.
First Mate: June Tate
June hails from the U.K. and has been sailing since the age of 11 on small catamarans. She holds a 200 ton Yachtmaster Ocean license and has sailed over 30,000 miles throughout the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean and Pacific. She previously ran her own watersports center in Spain where she taught children and adults to waterski and wakeboard and found this extremely rewarding and lots of fun. June also loves to dive and is a certified PADI Rescue Diver. For the past 6 years she has worked on large private and charter sailing yachts.
Engineer: Garrett Frambes
Garrett grew up on the beach and fell in love with the ocean in St. Maarten where his mother owned and operated a small hotel. This is where his love to fix things started. He began his yachting career in 2004 and moved his way up the ladder from deckhand to an engineer and captain on motor yachts. Engineering has been his passion, and after joining S/Y Whisper, he is now enjoying the new challenges and experiences sailing now brings. Garrett is also fluent in Spanish and proficient in French.
Chef: Laura Ahlquist
Laura has been creating fabulous meals as a private chef all over the world for over a decade. Whether the job has taken her to a remote island, in a galley of a mega yacht or an estate kitchen on the coast of Maine, Laura has always enjoyed the adventure of finding the local flavor and learning how to recreate it with her own flair. While cooking for so many people over the years she has learned to make healthy food scumcious!
Some of the yachts she has worked on are M/Y Sorcha a 153ft Northern Marine, cruising the Bahamas and East Coast of America, S/Y Scheherazade 153ft Hodgen, cruising Maine and the Caribbean, and S/Y Windcrest 98ft Hodgen, cruising Maine.

Stewardess: Gail Brown
Gail grew up in Providence, RI and spent her most of her spare time in and on the water. She left college with an Arts Degree and specialized in computer graphics. Gail’s land based career was focused on product development and end design. When she had an opportunity to combine her long time passion for sailing with worthwhile employment she happily accepted the opportunity! Gail joined Whisper in 2008 and since then has looked after her passengers with an always brilliant smile and genuine care for their wellbeing.
Her hobbies and interests include all sports; skiing and tennis in particular and design, painting and work.
